My Story
& Experience

I’m excited to transform your team.

If I’ve learned anything in my fifteen years as a UX practitioner, manager, designer, architect, mentor - it’s that user experience is everyone’s job. User experience is a deeply holistic, collaborative project that belongs to everyone, regardless of job title.

Are your leaders and executives outspoken champions of the iterative process that UX requires to thrive? Engineers must be equipped and empowered to solve the complex problems inhibiting UX. Product managers need to seek alignment between technology and business, and create room for learning and discovery on the roadmap. I can confidently say after hundreds of customer interviews and usability tests that not a single end user is excited to compromise over tech debt or release schedules - but these are all solvable problems.

As a design leader, I have the experience to build a true user experience culture in your company: One that’s rapidly experimenting to discover user value that you can actually deliver. A team that’s collaborating openly and freely, with blameless discovery and trust-building vulnerability. Balancing the practical steps to design maturity and sustainable UX quality, while acknowledging that there really is an acceptable level of jankiness in a product.

I’ve navigated the complexity of big public companies, and juggled the chaos of a startup. I’ve worked in a variety of roles across a variety of industries - security, fintech, real estate, restaurants, scientific research - and have seen first hand that UX, design, technology and business are forever and deeply linked. I’ve hired and managed designers, mentored engineers, and built a few lifelong friendships with product managers. I’d be happy to design your latest feature, but I’d genuinely love building the team that’s raising the UX bar with every release.

If you’re willing to go along for the ride, then I’m more than excited to help you get there!
